A recognition of Heritage Preservation
We are thrilled to announce that the Château de Bridoré has been awarded the prestigious French VMF 37 Special Departmental Award, honoring our ongoing efforts to preserve and celebrate this medieval treasure in the heart of Indre-et-Loire.
This exceptional recognition, granted by the Vieilles Maisons Françaises (VMF) association, celebrates our dedication to safeguarding this historic site for generations to come.
An Award Committed to Local Heritage
Founded in 1958, Vieilles Maisons Françaises (VMF) is one of France’s leading heritage preservation organizations, supporting private owners in their restoration projects.
The VMF Special Departmental Award acknowledges projects across each French department, specifically honoring initiatives that embody the local history and character. By championing projects like ours, VMF upholds its mission to preserve France’s architectural heritage and pass it down to future generations.
A Tribute to Preservation Efforts
Château owner Pierre-Alexandre Mouveau, along with the entire Bridoré team, expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the VMF for this honor. This award highlights the importance of our mission: to protect and preserve this medieval landmark for years to come.
The €5,000 grant awarded by the VMF is an invaluable resource that will allow us to continue our restoration work and further enhance this historic site. We are truly grateful for the trust that VMF places in our commitment to heritage conservation.
"This recognition is deeply meaningful and inspires us to continue our conservation efforts," states Pierre-Alexandre Mouveau.
A Special Mention to Madame Pelat de Villedon
We would like to extend a special thanks to Madame Pelat de Villedon, whose enthusiasm, support, and dedication have been a constant source of inspiration.
"Her motivating involvement has accompanied us at every stage, and her commitment has been a tremendous driving force," Mouveau adds.
A Commitment to Heritage and Legacy
This award is not only a recognition of our efforts but also a reminder of VMF’s larger mission to support and encourage the preservation of French architectural heritage. With its rich history and remarkable architecture, Château de Bridoré perfectly represents the values of conservation and legacy upheld by the VMF.
The VMF award marks the beginning of a new chapter in the restoration of the Château de Bridoré. Thanks to this valuable support, we are now able to pursue our mission with renewed determination. Together, let’s preserve this medieval treasure and ensure it remains an enchanting destination for generations to come.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the VMF association, its members, and of course, Madame Pelat de Villedon.
